With just under 3 weeks before the World Lacrosse Championships, the 2010 Iroquois National Team has selected their roster.
“Today, the Iroquois Nationals are the last to carry the traditional handmade hickory sticks into games, to play the Creators game, Dehontshihgwa’es. We don’t carry these sticks as clubs, or reminders of what used to be, but as a preferred piece of equipment that we use to show the finesse of the game. In this day of aluminum and plastic “lacrosse sticks” it is rare to see one of these hickory lacrosse sticks in action, but I guarantee that you will see these wooden sticks in an Iroquois Nationals game and I guarantee that our opponents will feel them.”
