The latest power rankings as of Week 3 of the NLL season, from NLLinsider.com (click the link for the full analysis and more, at NLL Insider):
1 (5) |
Washington Stealth 4-0 I said I would put the Stealth here if they swept the weekend. The victory in Calgary was huge. |
2(4) |
Toronto Rock 3-0 Absolutely dominant performance from start finish as they smash the Knighthawks 17-3. |
3 (1) |
Calgary Roughnecks 1-2 Its not that Calgary has looked bad in their two losses, but they are a far cry from last year’s juggernaut. |
4(2) |
Orlando Titans 1-1 Came up short against a very desperate Blazers team. |
5(6) |
Edmonton Rush 2-1 Were never really threatened by the Bandits in their 11-7 victory. Big test next weekend when they host Calgary. |
6(3) |
Rochester Knighthawks 2-1 Pooped the bed. Everyone looked bad. At least they get a shot at redemption next weekend when Toronto comes to their turf. |
7(10) |
Colorado Mammoth 2-2 It’s a fine line between winning and losing and two OT victories put the Mammoth back in the pack. |
8(7) |
Minnesota Swarm 1-2 OT loss to Colorado. Swarm will travel to Buffalo next week. |
9(8) |
Philadelphia Wings 1-2 Like the Swarm, also lost to Colorado in OT. In Boston next week. |
10(11) |
Boston Blazers 1-3 Get their first victory with win over Titans. Dawson and gang will try to avenge last week’s poor showing in Philly when the Wings come to town next week. |
11(9) |
Buffalo Bandits 0-4 Another reminder of how quickly the mighty can fall in this league. Last year at this time the Bandits were defending champs and sitting at 5-0. |
